Oakmerrow began with a simple thought: the things you use every day deserve as much care as the things you save up for.
Not the showpiece in the corner of the room, but the lamp you switch on at seven, the mug that ends up in your hand every morning, the hat you grab on the way out. Small things, used constantly, and somehow the last things anyone puts any thought into.
What we stand for
Choosing well, so you do not have to choose twice. We would rather offer you one good version of something than twenty that all look the same. It takes longer to build a shop that way, but it is the kind of shop we would want to buy from.
Honesty about what something is. No breathless language, no promises a product cannot keep. If it is simple, we will say it is simple — some of the best things are.
And warmth, wherever we can manage it. There is a person behind this shop, and when you write to us, that is who answers.
The things we look for
Something that feels considered. A shape that has clearly been thought about. A finish that will still look right in three years. Objects that quietly do their job without asking for attention — the ones you stop noticing precisely because they work.
If something does not feel like that, it does not go on the site.
Where we are heading
Slowly outwards. New collections as we find things worth adding, and more depth in the ones already here. What will not change is the care that goes into choosing them, or the free delivery, or the reply that comes from someone who read what you wrote.
