Why we started
Oakmerrow began with a simple frustration: the ordinary, useful things you actually want around the house are either priced as though they were luxuries, or they arrive looking nothing like the photograph. We wanted to run the sort of shop we would buy from ourselves — a small, chosen range, described honestly, at a price that does not need a discount code to look reasonable.
What we sell
We keep four sections: fashion and accessories, home and kitchen, garden and outdoor, and beauty and wellbeing. That is deliberately narrow. Every product has to earn its place, and we would rather carry a few dozen items we can describe properly than a few thousand we cannot.
How we describe things
Every description on this site is written by us. We list actual measurements, we say what a product is made of, and we say what it does not do. You will not find claims about health or wellbeing on our pages, because these are ordinary consumer goods and we do not think ordinary goods need to pretend otherwise.
Where a size chart comes from the manufacturer rather than from us, we say so on the page.
Where we ship from
Oakmerrow is run by Mondeaux, a company registered in the Netherlands. Orders are dispatched from our suppliers' warehouses outside the United Kingdom, which is why delivery takes longer than a domestic parcel would and why larger orders can attract import charges. We would rather be straight about that than surprise you after you have paid.
If something goes wrong
Email info@oakmerrow.com. A person reads it and answers within one working day. If a parcel is lost, damaged or simply not what you expected, we would rather fix it quickly than argue about it.
