Half-Moon Wall Light – semicircle backplate, opal globe, six colours

A wall light that looks like a sunrise, even when it is switched off.

Plain wall lights do their job but add nothing to a bare stretch of wall. This one pairs a round opal globe with a flat semicircle shade, so it reads as a graphic shape during the day and casts a soft halo onto the wall at night. Hang it upright or turned on its side, use one beside a bed or run a few down a hallway. Six colours let it either blend into a neutral room or become the accent colour.

Why this half-moon light works in so many rooms

• Opal globe: diffuses the light evenly with no harsh glare.
• Semicircle shade: throws a gentle wash of light across the wall behind it.
• Six colours: black, white, green, red, yellow or orange.
• Warm or cool white: choose a cosy tone for bedrooms or a fresher one for hallways.
• Flexible hanging: mount it with the curve down or turned sideways for a different look.
